 The Ranch Rodeo is an annual event that serves as a living tribute to our Western heritage. Proceeds from this event go to benefit the Colorado State Fair Foundation started to help 4-H and FFA programs. It is put on solely by the Colorado State Fair Volunteer Rodeo Committee. The Ranch Rodeo promotes our unique history and the western lifestyle by featuring competition between real cowboys from real working ranches and feed lots.

In a Calcutta, anybody attending may bid, auction-style on the team they think will win the Ranch Rodeo. All the money raised through the “auction” goes into a pot. At the end of the Ranch Rodeo, those who bought the winning team get a portion of the pot.
