The Colorado State Fair Parade will take place Saturday, August 24 at 10am on Colorado and Abriendo Avenue, down Union Avenue to Main Street concluding on 8th Street.
With well over 100 floats, including bands, royalty and civic organizations, the Colorado State Fair Parade is a must-see. Prizes will also be awarded to the first in Saddle Club, animal drawn vehicles, antique vehicles and custom vehicles.
Marching bands in the parade will finish their portion of the competition at the Pepsi Stage at the Colorado State Fairgrounds. Non-profit organizations can enter the "Pooper Scooper Contest" to be judged on costume, creativity, usefulness, entertainment value and how well they "scoop the poop" after the parade animals pass.
A pancake breakfast will take place prior to the parade at the Gold Dust Saloon on Union.
