FIESTA DAY!

Since 1967, Fiesta Day has been a celebration of Hispanic culture in Colorado. This year is the 47th anniversary of Fiesta Day and the creation of the Colorado State Fair Fiesta Committee. Fiesta Day begins with a Mariachi Mass presided over by Bishop Fernando Isern at Bessemer Park beginning at 8 a.m.
The annual Fiesta Day Parade follows mass and then there are festivities throughout the day on the Fairgrounds. Highlights include music, dancing, and performances by the Fiesta Queen and her court.

The Colorado State Fair Fiesta Day Parade, sponsored by the Colorado State Fair Fiesta Committee, is celebrating its 47th anniversary this year. This year’s theme is “Sentiminento de la Cultura,” which means “inspiration of culture.”
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. on East Abriendo Ave., and travels down Northern Ave., ending on Sprague Ave. Six trophies will be awarded to the most outstanding parade entries.

The Fiesta Queen and her court will be presented at the Pepsi Stage presented by KKTV 11 News and each young lady will perform.
