2009 Colorado State Fair PRCA Dodge Rodeo

PUEBLO, Colo. – Bring it On with the original wild west extreme sport. The 2009 Colorado State Fair PRCA Dodge Rodeo will bring spectators to the edge of their seats with buckin’ rides and fast times!

The 2009 Colorado State Fair features five nights of rodeo action starting on August 28th bringing top ranked cowboys and cowgirls from all over the nation competing to win the top rodeo honors. Plus, rodeo fans will be thrilled with some of the toughest rodeo animals in the business from Harry Vold Rodeo Company. If that isn’t enough to get your blood pumping, wait until Crash Cooper steps into the arena. Rodeo fans know they could be in for anything! Crash is known for his athleticism and for involving rodeo cowboys in crowd-pleasing stunts. This unique style comedy has made Crash a three time winner of Canada’s Entertainer of the Year.

St. Mary Corwin “Cowboys Kickin’ Cancer” Dinner, Auction & PRCA Dodge Rodeo
The Colorado State Fair is partnering with St. Mary Corwin Dorcy Cancer Center to help in the fight against cancer. Tickets include a free BBQ dinner catered by Texas Roadhouse followed by a benefit auction with great items including a pair of custom made chaps with all the colors of the different cancer fights, a turkey hunt, ½ a side of beef and an autographed guitar by ACM recording artists, to name a few. Live music will be provided by Fireweed.

Cat Country Rowdy Section
If you’re feeling rowdy, join other rodeo fans at the Northwest corner of the arena. For those true blue rodeo fans that like to be in the heart of the action, Colorado State Fair has teamed up with Cat Country 95.1 to create a special section for these folks. Don’t miss out on your chance to get your annual Rowdy Section t-shirt from Cat Country either. You can only get one if you’re sitting in the Cat Country Rowdy section!

Friends of Rodeo
Friends of Rodeo will also be in attendance during each night of rodeo excitement. In 1992, two Texas team ropers gave birth to Friends of Rodeo, in hopes of preserving America’s Western Heritage and protecting rodeo and other western events from anti-rodeo animal rights activism. The organization has over 30 volunteer representatives and more than 1000 members throughout the U.S, and Canada. The goal of Friends of Rodeo is to educate--whether it’s a school child, an adult spectator, or a legislator. Friends of Rodeo wants the world to appreciate the Western heritage of rodeo and its place in the present day world and, most importantly, that rodeo animals are well cared for, appreciated, and respected.
