Fairground Hours
Due to the high volume of contests and shows scheduled during the Colorado State Fair, many events begin before the Fairgrounds officially open.

State Fair management invites the public to attend such shows and contests by purchasing gate admission from Gates 4, 5 and 6 and entering the Fairgrounds prior to the Fair’s official opening time. All admission gates open at 10:00 am, the official opening time of the State Fair.

Food and commercial vendors open for business at 11:00 am; Carnival rides open at noon on weekdays and 10:00 am on weekends. With questions regarding State Fair hours, call (719) 561-8484 or (800) 876-4567.

Directions
Traveling from the North: Take I-25 South to Exit 97A (Central Avenue Exit). Go north one block to Northern Avenue. Turn left on Northern Avenue to Prairie Avenue. Turn right on Prairie Avenue and go two blocks to fairgrounds.

Traveling from the South: Take I-25 North to Exit 97A (Central Avenue Exit). Go north one block to Northern Avenue. Turn left on Northern Avenue to Prairie Avenue. Turn right on Prairie Avenue and go two blocks to fairgrounds.

Traveling from the West: Take Highway 50 East to Pueblo Boulevard. Turn right on Pueblo Boulevard to Thatcher Avenue. Turn left on Thatcher Avenue to Prairie Avenue. Turn right on Prairie Avenue and go four blocks to fairgrounds.

Traveling from the East: Take Highway 50 West to 4th Street. On 4th Street go west. Turn left at Santa Fe Avenue. Travel south on Santa Fe Ave. to Nothern Avenue. Turn right on Nothern Ave. Travel west on Nothern Ave. to Prairie Avenue. Turn right on Prairie Ave. Traveling north on Prairie Ave., the fairgrounds will be on your right.

Parking Lots
Colorado State Fair public parking lots are located south of the Fairgrounds between Mesa and Northern Avenues.

South lot - $7

State Fair Shuttle & Courtesy Trams
The State Fair shuttle runs every 30 minutes until 5 pm and every 15 minutes after 5 pm. The shuttle departs from the Downtown Main Street Parking Garage and arrives at the State Fair’s main gate on Beulah Avenue.

$1 per person 7 years old and older or $5 per family.

Shuttle service hours:
Monday-Thursday 10 am to midnight
Friday & Saturday 10 am to 1 am
Sunday 10 am to midnight

Courtesy trams, pulled by Wilcoxson Buick Trucks, are also available to transport fairgoers from the South and Preferred parking lots to Gate 2 of the Fairgrounds.

Handicap Access
Handicap access to the Fairgrounds is available from designated parking areas along Beulah and Arroyo Avenues. These areas are clearly marked and are near main gate entrances.
Vans with automatic chair lifts may unload passengers at Gates 2, 5 and 9. Ramp access is provided at most buildings on the Fairgrounds, and wheelchair-only areas are set aside in many spectator locations. Signs for handicap facilities are located throughout the Fairgrounds.

Wheelchair and other mobile rentals are available at the Prairie (Gate 5), Beulah (Gate 9) and Arroyo (Gate 2) entrances. For more information, call (719) 561-8484. A valid ID is required for rentals.
