Since 1967, Fiesta Day has been a celebration of Hispanic culture in Colorado. 2013 is the 47th Anniversary of Fiesta Day and the creation of the CSF Fiesta Pageant. Fiesta Day kicks off with the Fiesta Day Parade and continues throughout the day on the Fairgrounds. Highlights include music, dancing, art, and presentation of the Fiesta Queen. Schedules will be posted as they become available.
Fiesta Day Parade
The Colorado State Fair Fiesta Day Parade, sponsored by the Colorado State Fair Fiesta Committee, is celebrating its 47th anniversary this year. Don’t miss this exciting display of Mexican bands, costumes, vehicles and the Fiesta Queen!
The theme for 2013 "La Fuerza de los Suenos" will focus on the dreams and goals we have for ourselves and how our Hispanic culture draws personal and collective strength from our pursuite of those dreams. All floats should focus on the dreams/aspirations of our ancestors and future generations.
The CSF Fiesta Committee wants to continue our new tradition within the Fiesta Day Parade. All entries are asked to decorate with live plants. Any entry with live plants will receive bonus points towards awards.
Float Awards (given prior to start of parade):
Most Traditional, Judges' Choice, Most Beautiful, Most Creative, Best Fitting Parade Theme, Best Costumes
Parade Awards (announced at the Pepsi Stage during the Queen and Court performance):
School Spirit, Marching Unit, Saddle Club, Best Presentation by a Band
