Colorado's State Fairgrounds is full of event opportunities, no matter how big or small! Our spacious grounds allow for a variety of indoor and out door events. Whether you are looking for an intimate indoor setting for a baby shower, an outdoor arena for your club's next horse show, or a multi-use facility for your next RV Rally, the Fairgrounds has plenty of onsite venues to choose from. We are a dedicated team here to help make your rental event an excellent experience.

Fairgrounds Info

The Colorado State Fairgrounds boasts nearly 100 acres with 60 permanent structures and multiple full hookup RV/Vendor sites all enclosed within our historic walls. All year the Fairgrounds function as a multi-purpose entertainment complex hosting over 300 events per year. We are a full service facility capable of holding almost any sized group comfortably and safely. Whether it's a concert, your family reunion, wedding reception, RV Rally, convention, equestrian or livestock show, the Colorado State Fairgrounds is the perfect place for your event.

Southwest Motors Events Center

The Southwest Motors Events Center is located in the northwest corner of the fairgrounds. Built in 1995, this climate-controlled indoor coliseum has been constructed to accommodate an extensive list of events and activities. Great for: Concerts, rodeos, professional bullriding, indoor sports, tradeshows, recitals, large receptions, and much more.
Building Size: 95,350 total square feet.

· Floor area: 150’ X 248’ long

· Ceiling Height (Low Steel 41 feet, High Steel 50 feet)

Seating: Up to 7,714 depending on the event style


Regular Daily rental fee:starting at $3500.00

Catering/Concessions: The Fairgrounds has an exclusive contract with The Toler Brothers, LLC owned and operated by Bill & Joe Toler for all food and beverage inside the facility. No outside food or alcohol may be brought into the facility. Please contact Bill Toler at 719-251-4786 for food and beverage information.

Palace of Agriculture

The Palace of Agriculture is located near the center of the fairgrounds and contains both a mezzanine and main floor levels. Space combines versatility with convenience, allowing for small meeting areas, vast exhibit space, or large sit down dinners. Usable square footage: 42,220

Rental fee: starting at $2300.00

Capacity: approx. 2,200 including tables or 5,000 seated auditorium style

Catering: There is no catering contract in this building; renter may contract with one of our on-grounds vendors or any caterer of their choice. A liquor license is held year round by Giodone's so all alcoholic beverages sold in the building must be contracted through this organization. No outside alcohol may be brought into this facility.

4-H Auditorium

The 4-H Auditorium is located in the south east end of the Fairgrounds near the Beulah entrance. The large open space, wood floors and built-in stage make this a popular venue for meetings, lectures, classes, parties, receptions, dance recitals and other musical or theater performances.

Rental Fees:$550.00 per event day for building only or $925 for party package (includes 8' banquet tables & chairs for up to 300 guests - available for private parties only)

Capacity: 350 persons seated with rectangle tables; total seated capacity (chairs only – no tables) 771 persons.

Catering:There is no catering contract in this building; renter may contract with one of our on-grounds vendors or any caterer of their choice.

4-H Dining Hall

The 4-H Dining Hall is located in the south east end of the Fairgrounds near the Beulah entrance.The large open space and commercial style kitchen make this a very popular building on the fairgrounds. It is great for meetings, parties, dinners and small trade shows.

Rental Fees:$650 per event day for building only or $1025 for party package (includes 8' banquet tables & chairs for up to 300 guests - available for private parties only)

Capacity: 350 persons seated with rectangle tables; total seated capacity (chairs only – no tables) 822 persons.

Catering:There is no catering contract in this building; renter may contract with one of our on-grounds vendors or any caterer of their choice.

Creative Arts

The Creative Arts Building is located near the center of the Fairgrounds and is set in between Coca Cola Family Park and the Cultural Heritage Center. This building features a wood dance floor, built-in stage, painted concrete floors and “home-style” kitchen with all appliances. This building has many different uses such as meetings,parties, receptions, dance recitals, musical or theater performances, small trade shows, art exhibits, etc.

Rental Fees:$1,000.00 per event day for building only or $1500 for party package (includes round tables & chairs for up to 400 guests - available for private parties only)

Capacity: 700 (1039 if dance floor used for seating) persons seated with round or rectangle tables; total seated capacity (chairs only – no tables) 1673 persons.

Catering:There is no catering contract in this building; renter may contract with one of our on-grounds vendors or any caterer of their choice.

WeatherPort Entertainment Tent

The WeatherPort Entertainment tent is located in the north east section of the Fairgrounds in between the Grandstand Arena and the Horseshow area.This is the State Fair’s newest permanent structure.This structure has the benefits of an indoor venue with an outdoor feel and is perfect for barbeques, dances, receptions, parties or large meetings.This structure has finished concrete floors with a dance floor space and a stage.Note:there is no heating or air conditioning in this facility. This facility is available for rent the months of April through mid-October.

Rental Fees:$775 - $1000 per event day – includes round tables/chairs/stage as existing in building

Capacity:approx 800 persons seated with round or rectangle tables; 1900 classroom or auditorium style

Catering:All food and beverage in this facility is contracted through Giodone’s owned and operated by Tom & Anamarie Giodone. No outside food or alcohol may be brought into the facility. Please contact 719-545-7860 for food & beverage information.

Cultural Heritage

The Cultural Heritage Building is located east of the Creative Arts Building and faces Triangle Park.The geometrically shaped center of this building is part of the oldest structure on the Fairgrounds.It has painted concrete floors and large windows.This building has been used for small meetings, lectures, classes, parties, art shows, bridal/baby showers and luncheons.

Rental Fees:$275 per event day (includes 8' banquet tables & chairs for up to 50 guests)

Capacity:50 persons.

Catering:There is no catering contract in this building; renter may contract with one of our on-grounds vendors or any caterer of their choice.

Carnival Lot

The carnival lot is located in the southwest corner of the Fairgrounds property and holds accommodations for up to 326 campers. 110 full hook-up access and 216 partial hook-ups (50 amp power & water). Also includes two restroom facilities and one restroom/shower facility.

Livestock Pavilion

The Livestock Pavilion is located south of the Southwest Motors Events center.This building is a large open space with asphalt floor, high ceilings and modern restroom facilities as well as covered barn areas with access to water and electric facilities. This structure is great for livestock shows, dog shows, swap meets, bbqs, dances, weddings, trade shows or any casual social occasion.

Rental Fees:$775 - $1000 per event day

Square footage: approx 20,000 useable space indoors

Capacity:approx 800 persons seated with rectangle tables; up to 1800 classroom or auditorium style

Catering: There is no exclusive catering contract in this building and renters may choose a caterer of their choice. However, Manhattan's is the concessionaire in the facility and may also provide catering services if requested. A partial liquor license is held year round by Manhattan's so all alcoholic beverages served or sold in the building must be coordinated through the State Fair.
