Colorado State Fair Provides Fun, New Attractions

PUEBLO, Colo. – The Colorado State Fair has scheduled a lineup of new attractions to entertain fairgoers.

“Our goal is to treat our guests with exciting, new events every year,” said State Fair General Manager, Chris Wiseman.  “The Colorado State Fair transforms to provide a fresh experience, no matter how many times you walk through our gates.”

New Events & Attractions

A complete list of concerts and paid events can be found by visiting

Chicago Honey Bear Dancers

The "Chicago Honey Bear Dancers" will be holding dance workshops daily, Aug. 25 – 31, as well as perform family-oriented, fabulously choreographed variety song & dance shows!

Comic Ventriloquist Joe Gandelman & Friends

Gandelman will amaze you with his vocal skills.  Some shows include having five volunteers put on wigs and lip-sync to an oldie while Joe "throws" his voice. In some shows, he even talks about how to do ventriloquism.

LemurLand of Madagascar & Exotic Petting Zoo presented by Q102.7

This free attraction promotes species preservation through “EdZOOcation” in a live, interactive, fun-filled environment. Kids will love seeing ring-tailed lemurs live and up close as they learn about these amazing animals and their habitat.

One World Rainforest Experience presented by Q102.7

Combining education and entertainment, the daily shows feature more than 20 different animals, including tigers, cougars, monkeys, parrots and many others.

Pets Overboard!

Pets Overboard!! is an exciting and fun show for the whole family, featuring pets rescued from animal shelters. The cast of dogs, cats and rats will keep you laughing and entertained on their journey on board their pirate ship while they look for lost treasure.

Zip Line (Additional Cost)

Daring participants can climb to the top of the 28-foot-tall tower, clip into the zip line and take a leap of faith across 100ft of screaming fun! Speeds can reach up to 35 miles per hour, depending on person’s size! Every ride is sure to create laughter and a desire to do it again and again!

Pioneer Concession - “Coney’s”

Sophie’s Sidewalk Cafe

Hungry for a special dessert? You’ll want to be when you stop by Sophie’s. This food stop has wraps and salads for people who want healthier Fair food. And for dessert, the cafe sells its own “Fudge Puppies”, which are chocolate-covered Belgian waffles on a stick. Nice!
