Time is Running Out to Enter the Colorado State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition
July 26th Deadline
PUEBLO, Colo. – Calling all artists! The deadline is quickly approaching to enter the Colorado State Fair’sFine Arts Exhibition. The popular and prestigious part of the annual event showcases original artwork by Colorado residents and is one of the longest running and finest traditions of the Colorado State Fair.
The long list of accepted mediums include painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry/metalsmithing, and others. Two divisions for artwork submission are being offered: Emerging Artist and Professional. All artwork chosen for the exhibition will be on display in the Fine Arts Building during the entire length of the Fair.

The 2014 Colorado State Fair will mark the Fair's 142nd year as Colorado's premier celebration of agriculture. The Fairgrounds provides nearly $34 million in economic activity to Colorado throughout the year; $29 million of that activity is driven by the annual State Fair event. In addition to showcasing Colorado agriculture, the annual event features one of the country’s largest traveling carnivals, artwork, crafts, food competitions, thrilling rodeo action, a wide variety of food and merchandise booths and a Fiesta Day honoring Colorado's ties to the Hispanic culture.
