New Sponsor makes it mark on the Colorado State Fair
PUEBLO, Colo. – The largest building on the Colorado State Fairgrounds will be hanging a new name on its walls; Southwest Motors has joined the Fair’s sponsorship team with a generous contribution.
The Southwest Motors Events Center will be home to a number of fair and community events including concerts, roller derby competitions, and weddings. This facility seats an estimated 7,800 people during concerts and offers a perfect setting to truly enjoy the Fair’s musical experience, with air-conditioning, a built-in sound system and multiple concession booths.
“Colorado State Fair sponsorships provide an opportunity for businesses to take part in Colorado’s largest summer event while providing an important revenue resource for us,” said State Fair General Manager, Chris Wiseman. “Southwest Motors has a reputation that we are proud to partner with; I would like to thank them for recognizing the importance of the Colorado State Fair and our contribution to the state.”
“The Colorado State Fair is a major part of the Pueblo and Southern Colorado community. When the opportunity arose to partner with the State Fair through a sponsorship, we were proud to accept. Southwest Motors is committed to keeping the State Fair here in Pueblo. The Events Center has become a major part of our community through graduations, 4H events, and countless other local programs. Southwest Motors is excited to be a part of this legacy and help build it into the future,” said Mike Zavislan of Southwest Motors. The Colorado State Fairgrounds provides nearly $34 million in economic activity to Colorado throughout the year; $29 million of that activity is driven by the annual State Fair event. The new sponsorship package with Southwest Motors includes $35,000 with a 3 percent increase annually for a minimum of 5 years. In 2011, over 100 sponsors helped to promote youth and agriculture by creating over $1.6 million in revenue for the Colorado State Fair.
